This era saw some relatively radical comics from Marvel, & this arc is one of the most notable. Bendis intros his slant on violent crime–here, a kid traumatized by rescuing DD from his own supervillain father. But it’s Mack’s art, its complexity & expressionism, that finally makes the work great.
